Job Title: Developer III

DP Professionals is seeking a highly skilled Developer III to join our team in Columbia, SC.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time opportunity for a talented developer to work on a team dedicated to developing web applications and enhancing existing ones. The initial focus will be on UI development, with potential integration and backend work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs.
  • Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
  • Ensure team members understand business requirements and deliver quality technical solutions.
  • Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
  • Maintain and modify programs according to specifications.
  • Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming areas.
  • Test modified programs, create test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
  • Analyze production systems, recommend enhancements, and provide instruction to production support teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4 years of work-related experience, or Associate's degree with 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
  • Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
  • Excellent analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools.
Work Environment:

The department is a full-stack organization supporting web-based UI applications that integrate with mainframe applications. The team is in a transition phase, developing and training mainframe programmers to be web/full-stack developers.

The culture is supportive and collaborative, with plenty of challenging work. The specific team the candidate will work on is small, with plans to expand and rotate other technicians in and out depending on work and growth opportunities.
