Lean Manufacturing Plant Operations Lead

Krafted By KC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lean Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee our production operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

As the Plant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including maintenance, production, and operations, to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to ensure optimal spare parts inventory levels and regulatory compliance for all equipment, encompassing air and water quality standards.
  • Work in tandem with the Production Manager and Operations Manager to strategically utilize natural machine downtime for maintenance activities and schedule planned shutdowns effectively.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning within the maintenance team by ensuring adequate training programs are implemented and maintained.
  • Take ownership of the facility's loss prevention systems, encompassing security, fire safety, theft deterrence, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance.
  • Partner with corporate IT resources and local electricians to ensure the seamless operation of information technology systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, barcode scanners, and printers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access) and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement initiatives within a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies to achieve quantifiable improvements in cost reduction, efficiency, inventory management, cycle time optimization, quality enhancement, on-time delivery, and safety.
  • Experience training and coaching plant personnel to effectively implement Lean principles and tools for productivity gains.
  • Strong understanding of financial and non-financial metrics essential for achieving plant goals.
  • Greenbelt certification or experience in Six Sigma methodologies is highly valued.
