Role Overview:
The Senior Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue by effectively identifying and engaging with accounts within designated market segments. This position involves prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals to enhance hotel performance. The Senior Sales Manager will also support the Director of Sales in coordinating sales initiatives and managing departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential accounts and assess competition.
- Collaborate with the sales team to implement strategies that align with company goals.
- Monitor account performance and adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets.
- Prepare and present reports on sales activities and market trends.
- Participate in networking events and community engagements to promote the hotel.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in hotel sales or a relevant degree combined with related experience. Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and word processing, is essential. A valid driver's license is required.
Physical and General Requirements:
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
