Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality
  • Complete quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as needed
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a patient care area, with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent may be at risk for occupational exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
