Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate radiology information systems to facilitate care.
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
  • Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
  • Complete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance.
  • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current MRI Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Louisiana Radiology Tech state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
  • ARRT certification.
  • ARMRIT or CAMRT registered as an MR technologist with no experience.
  • Certification in another clinical imaging field, such as ARDMS or NMTCB.
