Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
  • Operate CT scanners to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards.
  • Perform quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary.
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance.
  • Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy and communication style.

Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Minimum of two years of current CT Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited CT Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Louisiana CT Tech state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
  • ARRT certification.

  • Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
  • General knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and hemodynamics of blood flow.
  • Skills to preliminarily identify stenosis or occlusion based on nationally published criteria.
  • Skills to assist attending physicians with interventional procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
  • Ability to work self-directed and function without direct supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to have and maintain flexibility in work duties and hours.
