Job Summary

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Private Sector Engagement to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day relationships and developing corporate partnerships with the US financial services sector to further WWF's mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cross-functional corporate relationships with institutions in the financial services sector focused on sustainable business engagement, cause marketing, policy/advocacy, and philanthropic work streams.
  • Support the development and implementation of a financial services sector engagement strategy, in alignment with and coordination across WWF-US and the WWF Global Network.
  • Collaborate with WWF-US colleagues and the WWF Global Network Finance Practice to monitor trends, issues, and opportunities in the US market.
  • Provide technical insights and guidance to WWF US conservation program teams regarding corporate sustainability leadership commitments and implementation.
  • Conduct prospect research and due diligence feasibility reviews of potential finance sector partners.
  • Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and other communications materials.
  • Work closely with WWF legal and PSE business services teams to ensure partnership agreements are correctly implemented.
  • Monitor reporting requirements and ensure compliance with contractually required reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Represent WWF at relevant events and meetings related to sustainable finance and business partnerships.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree with 3-4 years of relevant professional work experience required. A graduate degree in business, sustainability, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in the financial services sector and experience or demonstrated interest in corporate sustainability strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management, with strong research, analytical, and verbal/written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams against a scope of work and timeline with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively, under pressure, to meet competing deadlines and commitments.
  • Experience with strategy development and 'big picture' thinking.
  • Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills and experience.
  • Fluent spoken and written English language skills required. International experience and language other than English preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
