Job Title: Partnerships Associate

Join the American Coatings Association & PaintCare team as a Partnerships Associate, supporting corporate communications activities and fostering strong relationships with partner associations and organizations.

Job Summary

This role will report to the Corporate Communications Manager and be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including event planning, industry research, and strategic marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, communications, or a related field, with experience in relationship building, event planning, and/or marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner associations and organizations
  • Identify new partnerships to reach diverse audiences, such as non-English speakers, teachers & educators, and others with paint stewardship messaging
  • Research and initiate outreach to new organizations in existing and future PaintCare regions
  • Coordinate national and state mail campaigns, including preparing contact lists, managing internal review timelines, developing materials, and collaborating with external vendors
  • Develop content for partner outlets, such as learning management systems, online presentations, and website profiles
  • Provide on-the-ground support at conferences, work with external vendors on conference shipments and booth furnishings, and coordinate internal staff resources for conferences
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, English, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience in marketing, communications, or a related role
  • Experience in relationship building, event planning, and/or marketing preferred
  • Ability to travel within the continental U.S. several times per year
  • Superb attention to detail and highly organized
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent written communication skills, including copywriting, editing, and email etiquette
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to research, analyze, and curate new marketing opportunities
Benefits

This is a full-time, regular position with a salary range of $64,080 to $72,000, depending on experience. PaintCare, through the ACA, provides generous benefits, including 401(k), vacation days, medical, dental, and life insurance, and reimbursement for travel expenses.
