Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at ProLogistix. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Preventative Maintenance: Execute a preventative maintenance plan to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  3. Process Setup and Changeovers: Set up and configure manufacturing equipment for new production runs and changeovers.
  4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to quickly resolve equipment issues.
  5. Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records within our electronic system.
  6. Plant Maintenance KPIs: Support plant-wide maintenance KPIs, including equipment uptime, time to repair, and on-time completion of PM tasks.
  7. New Equipment Setup: Assist in the setup and debugging of new equipment and machinery.
  8. Equipment Upgrades: Manage basic machine upgrades, including field wiring and mechanical sub-assembly.
  9. Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to operations teams on key equipment and processes.
  10. Multi-Tasking: Manage multiple concurrent tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  11. Safety Protocols: Adhere to all site and local safety standards while performing work.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. 3+ Years of Experience: In a maintenance technician or cable manufacturing role.
  2. Excellent Observational Skills: Ability to recognize small discrepancies in equipment function and use deductive reasoning to identify causes.
  3. Strong Attention to Detail: Excellent organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  4. Strong Mechanical Skills: Knowledge of various tools for drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, etc.
  5. Operational Knowledge: Of control relays, pneumatic solenoids, PLCs, servo motors, stepper motors, operator interfaces, etc.
  6. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  7. Multi-Tasking: Ability to complete several concurrent tasks in an efficient and accurate manner.
  8. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and write in English.
  9. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and be led in a collaborative and productive work environment.
  10. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly from floor to waist.
  11. Hazards: Willingness to work with and around chemicals, machines, and high-temperature process tooling and equipment, while following all safety regulations and wearing required protective gear.
