Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
  • Efficiently complete work orders related to the repair and upkeep of the community and its grounds.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, which may include:
    • Repairing wall and floor coverings, furniture, and fixtures.
    • Conducting basic plumbing and minor electrical repairs.
    • Maintaining appliances and engaging in painting and refurbishment projects.
  • Assist the Facilities Director with heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration units, motors, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Carry out maintenance on carpets and hard surface flooring.
  • Support deep cleaning efforts and resident apartment transitions.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Director for technical guidance and quality assurance.
  • Provide insights on the condition of community equipment and furnishings.
  • Maintain tools and repair parts effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be a professional who responds promptly to the needs of our Residents and interacts courteously with guests, residents, and staff. This role requires the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Technical school education is preferred.
  • At least one year of maintenance or housekeeping experience is preferred.
  • Basic technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, fire prevention, and life safety regulations is advantageous, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
