Job Summary

Globus Medical is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect and assemble small machined components using various tooling and equipment.
  • Remove loose or fixed burrs, clean sharp edges, and polish and blend machined surfaces of medical devices.
  • Measure and inspect medical device products in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
  • Assemble sub-components into finished assemblies following established procedures.
  • Utilize hand tools, including deburring knives, files, and pneumatic tools, to remove burrs and assemble parts.
  • Escalate problems or issues to the Assembly Supervisor.
  • Accurately complete all quality documentation and inspection sheets.
  • Embody a culture of exceptional response by partnering with researchers and educators to transform clinical insights into tangible solutions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one year of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment, including torque wrenches, hand tools, power supplies, meters, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Familiarity with GMP environment, reading and checking Bills of Materials, schematics, and machine/assembly drawings.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence.
  • Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Experience working for a medical device manufacturer preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands
  • Required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and capacity to adjust focus.
