Job Summary:

The LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking a highly skilled Grant Specialist to join our Development team. As a Grant Specialist, you will play a critical role in securing funding for our organization's programs and services. You will be responsible for researching and writing grant proposals, managing grant reports, and building relationships with institutional donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and services
  • Manage grant reports and ensure timely submission
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional donors
  • Collaborate with the Development team to develop and implement fundraising strategies
  • Provide support for special events and fundraising campaigns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, History, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in grant writing and research
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
