Job Title: Senior Contracts and Grants Specialist

NCIRE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts and Grants Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Office of Sponsored Research, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of grants and contracts, including pre-award and post-award administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, such as Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200
  • Develop and negotiate contract agreements with private sector sponsors and subcontractors
  • Provide fiscal management for all contracts and grants, including budget projections and financial analysis
  • Mentor junior staff and assist with questions within the department
  • Coordinate approval process of proposals and monitor general ledger for discrepancies
  • Ensure all necessary pre and post-award compliance activities are completed within required timeframes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in contracts and grants, including experience working with complex awards and subcontracts
  • Detailed knowledge of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance)
  • Significant experience in developing, negotiating, and managing contracts and grants
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders
Working Conditions:

The work environment for this position is an indoor office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
