Social Justice Collaborative (SJC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free and low-cost legal services to noncitizens at risk for removal from the United States. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our board of directors and contribute to our mission.

About the Role

As a board member, you will play a crucial role in supporting SJC's work, including assisting with fundraising, marketing, financial oversight, strategic planning, and other tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for social justice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend board meetings 4 times a year remotely
  • Participate in 1 event per year in the Bay Area to support fundraising efforts
  • Contribute 5+ hours per month to board service
  • Use your skills and expertise to support SJC's mission
Requirements
  • Passion for SJC's mission
  • Strong personal connection to Latinx and/or immigrant communities
  • Experience in human resources or fundraising
  • Significant professional experience and well-established local social networks
