Job Title: Chief of Anesthesia

Piedmont Healthcare seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Anesthesia to lead our anesthesia department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight to our anesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provider & Staff Management: Lead the clinical activities of the anesthesia department, working closely with peri-operative leadership to maintain high standards of care.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate activities to deliver high-quality patient care and services, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Carry out anesthesia physician practice strategies, policies, and programs as determined by PHC Executive Leadership.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Doctor of Medicine degree from a recognized school of medicine and fellowship trained in Anesthesiology.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible work experience in a senior management position in a medical practice setting, healthcare administration, or a closely related field.
  • Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology and Georgia Medical License to Practice Anesthesiology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-graduate degree in healthcare or business administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry and experience running complex anesthesiology practices in a multi-hospital system.
