Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Dublin City School. As a key member of our health services team, you will provide essential support to our school nurse in delivering routine clinic and emergency health care services to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first aid care and treatment to ill and injured students and staff, documenting all care and treatment provided.
  • Perform nursing delegated procedures as indicated by doctor's orders, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Properly set up, administer, and record all medications dispensed in the clinic, adhering to District Policy and Guidelines.
  • Assist in the control of communicable diseases, maintaining awareness of current student health concerns.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining all clinical supplies and equipment within a budget set by the building principal.
  • Comply with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment and machines [OSHA].
  • Assist the nurse in the surveillance and control of communicable disease, participating in the identification of students suspected of being abused or neglected.
  • Comply with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the storage, use, and disposal of trash, rubbish, waste, and hazardous material [OSHA].
  • Maintain effective communications with the building nurse, ensuring the safety of students and establishing cooperative professional relationships.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN) or Registered Nursing School (RN).
  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR and first aid certification.
  • Willingness to complete district training for clinic aides.
  • Caring, friendly, and nurturing attitude in working with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, set priorities, and work well under emergency situations with attention to details.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with school nurse, parents, staff, and students.
  • An excellent knowledge of typing and use of common office equipment.
Terms of Employment

189 days (181 work days; 8 paid holidays) 7 hrs. per day or the equivalent excluding lunch. Salary as provided by the Negotiated Agreement. Work year to be established by the Board of Education.

$20.86/HR. - $23.06/HR.
