The Office of Court Administration (OCA) serves as a pivotal state agency within the Judicial Branch, operating under the guidance of the Supreme Court of Texas and the Chief Justice. Position Summary:

The Senior Licensing and Permit Analyst is responsible for overseeing complex licensing and permitting tasks. This role involves the meticulous review and evaluation of applications for licenses, permits, and examinations, ensuring adherence to relevant policies, administrative codes, and statutes. The analyst will engage with both external and internal stakeholders, facilitating the approval process for licenses and permits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and process applications for certification, registration, and licensure, ensuring timely handling within licensing systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to certification and registration applications, executing necessary steps for approvals or denials.
  • Assist in drafting correspondence, memos, and reports pertinent to certification and registration activities.
  • Disseminate information regarding program laws, rules, and policies to the public and government officials.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding regulations and procedures, conducting research as required.
  • Provide customer support via phone and email, addressing division-related issues within established timeframes.
  • Facilitate the administration of certification exams, including serving as a proctor and registrar.
  • Contribute to the development and updates of division forms and publications.
  • Conduct background checks for guardianship registration applicants as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of additional experience in administrative support or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate agency laws and policies clearly.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of office practices and applicable administrative codes.
  • Proficient in standard office equipment and software.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to respond to public inquiries promptly.

Employment Conditions:
