Job Title: Senior Associate, Environmental and Permitting

At Treaty Oak Clean Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate, Environmental and Permitting to join our Development team. This role will be responsible for supporting the environmental review and permitting processes for our solar projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental assessments and impact analyses for proposed solar projects.
  • Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.
  • Coordinate and manage the permitting process for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, including all required documentation and supporting materials.
  • Monitor and stay current with environmental regulations and policies that affect solar project development.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of environmental assessments, permit applications, and regulatory communications.
  • Prepare and present reports on environmental and permitting activities to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, natural resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in environmental review, permitting, or a related role.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes relevant to solar energy projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and conduct field assessments as needed.
