Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented License and Permit Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing entry-level to journey-level administrative support and licensing processing work related to the certifying, licensing, permitting, registration of Individuals and Businesses in various programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, review, and process initial online and paper applications for various programs.
  • Request supporting documentation, input applicant demographics, and validate supporting documentation.
  • Communicate verbally and in written format with applicants, licensees, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide customer service and help desk functions, including interpreting and explaining license requirements.
  • Develop and send correspondence to applicants by letter, email, and telephone.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative support and reconciliation of fee payments.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Pro.
  • Ability to provide customer service and follow policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Working Conditions:

This is a hybrid position, eligible to telework on a part-time basis (up to 3 days per week). The selected candidate must have the ability to provide a reliable internet service in a home office location free from distractions that will provide the ability to ensure confidentiality of work product.
