About the Role

Ferrovial Energy is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to oversee the permitting processes for our newly adjudicated 210 MW solar PV project in Leon, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely acquisition of all required permits and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure comprehensive compliance with environmental laws and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement permitting strategies for the project, ensuring timely acquisition of all required permits.
  • Coordinate with project teams, environmental experts, and legal counsel to ensure comprehensive compliance with environmental laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and negotiation.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, monitor their progress, and ensure any compliance issues are addressed.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate environmental impact and minimize the company's permitting risk and liability.
  • Supervise the work of project environmental consultants, as needed.
  • Develop and implement effective permitting strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring quality of documents and timely completion.
  • Respond to internal and external environmental and permitting-related inquiries.
  • Support project financing, third-party due diligence, and other related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in permitting and regulatory compliance, specifically for renewable assets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and guidelines in renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing projects throughout permitting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with government agencies at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Experience monitoring compliance and maintaining rigorous documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
