Sales and Business Growth Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Growth Specialist to join our team at Demco, Inc. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and building relationships with key decision-makers in K-12 schools and public libraries within your territory of Upper New York, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire.
About the Role
You will work remotely to identify new sales opportunities, connect with key decision-makers, develop sales leads, and transition leads to our internal sales team. You will also partner with our Inside Sales Specialist for your territory to collaborate on prospecting and networking strategies.
Your Responsibilities
- Research and leverage industry tools to discover potential leads within K-12 school districts and public libraries.
- Build relationships with Superintendents, Principals, Architects, Designers, Owners Representatives, Library Directors, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Cultivate opportunities for evolving learning environments (furniture, supplies, equipment, etc.) and assess client requirements.
- Partner with the internal sales team for closing and remain involved by providing support and guidance as needed throughout the project.
- Work from home but stay closely connected with your team virtually, sharing ideas, strategies, and collaborating to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Attend conferences, conventions, trade shows, and other K-12 events as needed to expand your knowledge and grow your network.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a hunting sales role, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong relationships and experience working with K-12 education markets.
- Familiarity with learning environments, furniture, and supplies.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 and a variable commission plan that pays $25,000 at quota. You will also receive comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in education.
