Overview and Responsibilities

A Merchandising Training Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering educational programs to field merchandisers, ensuring the uniform application of merchandising protocols, product insights, and brand representation across assigned regions. This position entails conducting practical training sessions and offering continuous assistance to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of field managers. What are the benefits? Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver extensive training programs and resources for field merchandisers, including instructional manuals, presentations, and visual tools. Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions to inform field merchandisers about standards, product attributes, and promotional strategies. Instruct field merchandisers on product arrangement, signage, and display methods to enhance visual appeal and drive sales. Provide practical coaching and constructive feedback during store visits to reinforce training concepts and address performance deficiencies. Collaborate with field managers to assess training requirements and prioritize areas for skill enhancement. Evaluate and monitor training effectiveness through metrics, observations, and participant feedback. Revise training materials in response to product updates, guidelines, and market trends. Assist with new product introductions and store resets by providing timely training sessions and resources. Act as a subject matter expert on merchandising best practices, market trends, and competitor activities. Cultivate a supportive learning atmosphere and promote a culture of ongoing improvement among field merchandisers. Address open territories by executing client-specific tasks. Success Factors: Exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational abilities. Be a proactive individual, quick to learn, detail-oriented, adaptable, and flexible in managing various tasks and situations. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Experience and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in retail or retail training is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with availability for occasional weekend work. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Must have good vision and the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, and kneel. Willingness to work in cold environments is required.
