Position Overview:

Become a vital part of the Commonwealth of Virginia's initiative in psychiatric and behavioral genetics as a full-time Research Associate. This role is situated within a dynamic interdisciplinary environment dedicated to exploring the interplay of genetic and environmental influences on mental health and substance use challenges. The position includes a comprehensive research training program that prioritizes mentorship and collaborative projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulation of research inquiries that align with established objectives.
  • Conducting analyses both independently and in partnership with the research team.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of analytical processes through open science methodologies.
  • Drafting and submitting research articles to scholarly journals.
  • Participating as a co-author on collaborative manuscripts.
  • Showcasing research findings at academic conferences.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with peer-reviewed publications, a background in interpreting developmental contexts, strong communication skills, proficiency in quantitative analysis, and familiarity with the R programming language are advantageous.
