Your Role

We are seeking a Project Architect to contribute to our projects in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in architecture, be licensed or on the path to licensure, and have a minimum of 10 years of full-time experience in the planning and design of public safety, emergency operations, justice, and civic facilities. We value inquisitive, detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills who can collaborate effectively with project partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in master planning, space programming, and facility planning support.
  • Develop design concepts and transform them into comprehensive construction documents.
  • Coordinate with engineers and consultants to ensure design integrity.
  • Assist in clarifying design intent during the bidding and negotiation phases.
  • Support the construction phase by approving submittals and resolving conflicts.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, utility companies, and regulatory authorities.

Specifics of Your Role

  • Assist Senior Managing Architects throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate with clients, architectural staff, engineers, and consultants to create innovative design solutions while managing project scope and budgets.
  • Ensure quality control during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Guide project efforts to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess work quality.
  • Organize, execute, and coordinate project assignments effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Accredited degree in Architecture with a focus on obtaining licensure.
  • 10+ years of relevant architectural experience, particularly with complex public safety projects.
  • Proficiency in BIM 360/Revit design software.
  • Familiarity with a range of design applications, including Microsoft 365, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and 3D software such as SketchUp, Lumion, and Enscape.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000
