About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer to provide design, development, implementation, and integration of a predominantly cloud-based compute/network/storage infrastructure. The successful candidate will support modernizing the program platform's overarching design through new emerging technologies and use of DevOps/DevSecOps tools and automation to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and accelerate release cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support transitioning a system tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure
  • Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across cloud-based computing environments
  • Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions
  • Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management
  • Provide operational support for the platform
Requirements
  • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT level II requirements (Security + CE or equivalent)
  • A U.S. government TS/SCI / CI Poly issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab)
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
  • Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore)
  • Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization
  • Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework
  • Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
  • Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux-based Operating Systems
  • Experience with RedHat Linux
  • Experience with Cloud-based technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)/ Commercial Cloud Services (C2S)
