Job Title: Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer

At Raytheon Careers, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of software engineering by integrating development and operations through a comprehensive cloud-based platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform. Experience with programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, and Go, is also essential. Additionally, a strong understanding of security and compliance principles, including encryption and access management, is required.

As a Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing operational support for the platform, collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions, and leveraging company and industry best practices to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and integrate platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Develop, test, and deliver applications within a DevSecOps framework.
  • Provide operational support for the platform.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions.
  • Leverage company and industry best practices to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, and Go.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance principles, including encryption and access management.
  • Experience with scanning tools and multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.
