About the Role:
Special Testing Laboratories, a Bethel, CT-based Construction Materials Inspection and Testing Services company, is seeking a Business Development / Sales Professional to drive new business growth and maintain existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bidding, proposals, and pricing to ensure successful project execution
- Work closely with management to maintain relationships and stay informed about upcoming projects and current project progress
- Prospect and generate new business through leads, referrals, and customer acquisition
- Network with local groups and associations to identify new business opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge to provide expert advice to clients
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience preferred, but the right attitude and potential can be considered
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree required
- Ability to set and achieve sales goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, time management, interpersonal, and follow-through skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and coworkers
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Acrobat, or ability to learn
