About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care, promoting healthy habits and positive outcomes.
  • Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic health record systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with dental lab tasks, such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns, to support the dental team.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Perform basic dental procedures, such as fluoride treatments and sealant applications, under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing processes is essential.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically CAD and Epic, is required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, especially in a pediatric setting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Work Environment

This is a temporary position, and the selected candidate will be required to relocate to the specified area before starting work.
