Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional geotechnical engineering services on a variety of public and private sector projects, including buildings, bridges, roadways, and pavements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with our geotechnical services department to deliver exceptional results
  • Prepare geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals
  • Plan and coordinate field exploration programs, including site reconnaissance
  • Perform soil and rock classification
  • Plan and coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs
  • Perform geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and computer modeling
  • Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables
  • Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing
  • Communicate with existing and potential clients
  • Site visits during construction phase to ensure successful implementation of geotechnical recommendations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • EIT or PE license or able to obtain PE license
  • Typically 2+ years experience preferred
  • Proficient with writing and reviewing technical reports
  • Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record
  • Able to travel locally to/from project sites
  • Able to work extended hours when workload dictates
  • Able to effectively communicate with internal and external clients through in-person, written, verbal, and electronic methods
