Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional geotechnical engineering services on a variety of public and private sector projects, including buildings, bridges, roadways, and pavements.
Key Responsibilities- Work with our geotechnical services department to deliver exceptional results
- Prepare geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals
- Plan and coordinate field exploration programs, including site reconnaissance
- Perform soil and rock classification
- Plan and coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs
- Perform geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and computer modeling
- Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations
- Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables
- Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing
- Communicate with existing and potential clients
- Site visits during construction phase to ensure successful implementation of geotechnical recommendations
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
- EIT or PE license or able to obtain PE license
- Typically 2+ years experience preferred
- Proficient with writing and reviewing technical reports
- Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record
- Able to travel locally to/from project sites
- Able to work extended hours when workload dictates
- Able to effectively communicate with internal and external clients through in-person, written, verbal, and electronic methods
