Printer Field Service Technician

Client Facing Services

We are seeking a skilled Printer Field Service Technician to join our team at Integral Federal. As a Field Service Professional, you will be responsible for providing local client facing services including operations, maintenance, and software integration support for BookMaster One and BookMaster Pro passport personalization printer platforms across Department of State Passport centers and agencies. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Printer and Platform Condition Evaluation: Perform thorough evaluations of printer and platform condition, making adjustments and alignments as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Functional and Quality Checks: Conduct rigorous functional and quality checks of individual units, including disassembly and assembly, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Cleaning and Lubrication: Clean and lubricate individual components to prevent wear and tear, ensuring the longevity of our equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document maintenance services and deliver malfunction reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Advisement and Communication: Provide regular advisement of maintenance activities and issues to the Government, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Software Upgrades and Patches: Apply software upgrades and patches to ensure our equipment remains up-to-date and secure.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Adhere to a schedule for preventative maintenance, ensuring our equipment remains in optimal working condition.
  • Service Now Tickets: Remediate Service Now tickets associated with operations and maintenance service and activity tasks.
  • Demonstrations and Testing: Support demonstrations and testing as required, ensuring our equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Printer and Platform Support: Provide support during scheduled upgrades to customer network and applications, as well as testing support for new books and machine optimizations.
  • Best Practices and Training: Lead by example, learning and demonstrating best practices for the BookMaster Pro and BookMaster One workflows.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain sufficient consumables and parts inventory to support remedial and preventative maintenance requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of State Security Clearance at the SECRET level
  • Ability to travel for training, demonstrations, and supplemental support (5% of the time)

Preferred:

  • Experience working within Department of State Passport centers
  • Customer facing technical service experience for complex products or systems
  • Attentive to detail and responsive to often unpredictable demands and changing priorities
  • Self-directed, independent, and adaptable
  • Innate mechanical ability and facility with tools
  • Experience that demonstrates mastery in the operation of machines, instruments, and equipment
  • Positive and optimistic attitude with the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
  • Active SECRET clearance
