The Senior Configuration Associate plays a critical role in upholding quality standards on the Reconfiguration line. This position requires minimal supervision and involves training, guiding, and overseeing the work of junior staff while utilizing established procedures to complete assigned tasks. The role directly supports initiatives aimed at operational enhancements and the execution of improvement strategies.

*This is a day shift position: 7am - 3:30pm*

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality objectives and timely delivery associated with respective tasks are met.
  • Demonstrate the ability to execute major process operations based on procedural documentation and training within standard labor hours.
  • Maintain adaptability to work across various assembly stations within multiple product lines.
  • Conduct visual inspections of Configuration products for physical damage and missing components.
  • Perform troubleshooting to confirm nonconforming products or identify other issues across all Zebra product families.
  • Utilize digital electronic devices for failure analysis and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Document detailed findings of defective products and assemblies in the operations ERP system.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs through disassembly and reassembly of defective components across various product families.
  • Employ different software platforms to conduct testing and diagnostic evaluations of defective printers and other products.
  • Develop and review content for Operation Method Sheets (OMS) and other process documentation.
  • Assist line leaders in maintaining operational balance.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an electromechanical assembly environment.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to read and understand Build of Materials (BOM) and mechanical schematics.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, including Kaizen and Lean manufacturing.
  • Proficient in English: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.
  • General computer skills with proficiency in Windows navigation.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 35 lbs.

Salary: USD 27.40 Hourly

Salary may vary based on location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs, linking company and individual performance.
