Clinical Services Director

Dover Home Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Director of Clinical Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care services, ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel.
- Provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff to ensure the quality of services and maintenance of standards.
- Perform chart audits and gather data for QAPI activities.
- Appraise clinical staff performance during their probationary period and annually, providing teaching and counseling necessary to enhance the delivery of services and the professional development of nursing and health aide staff.
- Identify and evaluate patient needs and appropriateness of home care by reviewing the initial intake screening from before assignment of direct care staff.
- Oversee the maintenance of patient clinical records and assure compliance with local, state, and federal laws as well as CHAP standards of care.
- Assist with the orientation of new staff and participate in audits, IDG meetings, and QAPI.
- Maintain adequate and appropriate medical supplies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring Medicare, State, and CHAP regulations are followed by all clinical staff.
- Assume responsibility for self-development by continually striving to improve his/her Nursing/Management practice through formal education, attendance at workshops and conferences, active participation in professional and related organization meetings, and/or individual research and reading.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Must be a registered Nurse licensed by the state.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years nursing experience in home hospice or skilled home care.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, and CHAP standards.
- The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others and maintain commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement.
- Able and willing to travel as needed.
