Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Guidance: Provide effective guidance and leadership to nursing personnel, creating a collaborative and positive work environment that fosters open communication and teamwork.
- Patient Care Management: Manage and coordinate patient care, ensuring that established protocols and standards are upheld, and that patients receive top-quality service.
- Nursing Staff Management: Recruit, train, and oversee nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance by maintaining regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety, and by implementing educational programs and training to enhance nursing staff skills and knowledge.
- Budget Management: Efficiently manage the nursing department budget, optimizing resources without compromising care quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that nursing staff complies with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, and that patients' needs are addressed to promote patient-centered care.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with quality improvement teams to identify trends and areas for patient care enhancement, and to implement strategies to improve patient outcomes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise and timely records of patient care, assessments, and departmental activities.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic plans and initiatives aimed at improving nursing services, and ensure that the nursing department is aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
- Experience: Previous nursing leadership experience, preferably in a Director of Nursing role.
- Certifications: BLS certification.
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse State license.
