Customer Service Representative Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences? Do you have a knack for problem-solving and a strong desire to help others? U-Haul is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of U-Haul, providing top-notch service to our customers and ensuring their needs are met. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with U-Haul products and services, providing personalized support and solutions to their needs.
  • Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
  • Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Answer customer questions and educate them on U-Haul products and services, building trust and loyalty.
  • Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental, ensuring seamless transactions.
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring, demonstrating expertise and attention to detail.
  • Fulfill propane and drive a forklift, showcasing versatility and adaptability.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields. The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, and positioning yourself to reach objects at varying heights. You may be required to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
