Job Overview

WRLD Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Grants and Compliance Manager to lead our operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing finances with precision. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in overseeing our compliance framework and financial management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including 501(c)(3) compliance, tax filings, and external reporting.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, grant disbursements, and overall financial management to align with WRLD's strategic goals.
  • Manage the entire grantmaking process, including due diligence, grant selection, financial tracking, and ongoing monitoring of grantee compliance.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, ensuring ethical conduct and operational transparency.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel to ensure that all agreements, policies, and legal documents are up to date and compliant.
  • Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and grantees, ensuring clear communication and alignment with WRLD's mission.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on financial performance, compliance status, and risk management for the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Public Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in grants management within a nonprofit or philanthropic organization.
  • Strong understanding of US and international regulations affecting donor-funded grants and the ability to navigate complex compliance frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in financial oversight, budgeting, and grant administration, including experience managing international grants.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, internal controls, and legal compliance within a grant making context.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in English (additional language skills such as Spanish are advantageous).
  • High degree of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
