The Industry Practice Manager will focus on three primary areas:

1. Strategic Sales: The main duty involves establishing relationships with middle management and executives at enterprise accounts, understanding their business needs, leading the development of tailored solutions (services and products), and successfully closing strategic engagements. Key focus areas include:
  • Artificial Intelligence solutions, encompassing infrastructure, software, systems integration, and custom AI development.
  • Modernization and consolidation of Operational Technology (OT) networks.
  • Data architecture, governance, and analytics for OT and IT.
  • Enhancing cybersecurity and compliance across IT and OT.
  • Implementing Asset Lifecycle Management Programs.
  • AIOps and Infrastructure Automation.
2. Solution Development for Energy Clients: Collaborating with customers, OEMs, service partners, and internal teams to:
  • Identify necessary solutions for enterprises in the energy sector.
  • Develop partnerships and messaging to effectively market these solutions.
  • Recognize gaps in WWT's capabilities to meet customer demands and work with leadership to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with the Advanced Technology Center to enhance its relevance for energy clients.
3. Brand Advocacy: Acting as a brand ambassador for WWT through initiatives such as:
  • Leading WWT's preparation for and representation at industry events.
  • Working with Marketing to create industry-relevant content for publication.
  • Assisting in the organization of relevant WWT events.
  • Representing WWT at partner and OEM events.
Team Collaboration:

The Industry Practice Manager is a vital member of the Business Development and Sales teams, tasked with enhancing WWT's engagement with leading companies in the energy sector. Key collaborators include:
  • Industry Advisor: A technical subject matter expert reporting to the Industry Practice Manager, with extensive experience in the energy sector.
  • Account Manager: A local salesperson responsible for a diverse range of customers across various industries.
  • Consulting Systems Engineer and Architect: Pre-sales architects providing technical leadership and support.
  • Global Engineering Team: A team of pre-sales engineers with expertise across a wide range of technologies.
  • Services Sales Consultants: Sales professionals focused on selling infrastructure and application services.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in sales or collaboration with executive stakeholders in Fortune 1000 energy companies.
  • 5+ years of experience in selling and delivering strategic or technical consulting services.
  • Proven track record of selling solutions or engagements exceeding $10 million in the energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of current challenges and opportunities in the energy industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Proven capacity to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical executives.
  • History of building lasting relationships with decision-makers and industry leaders.
