Pharmacy Manager Job Description

The Pharmacy Manager at Rutland Regional Medical Center will be a seasoned expert in pharmacy operations and medication-use systems. This role will oversee advanced responsibilities in pharmacy operations, compliance, technician and pharmacist oversight and training, medication compounding and preparation, as well as education related to all aspects of pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage associated personnel, programs, services, and operations.
  • Provide direction and leadership to staff, students, interns, and residents who provide inpatient pharmacy patient care.
  • Ensure pharmacy purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and overall supply chain management systems are operating efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with PharmD.
  • 3 years of management or lead experience in a hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Significant clinical experience.
  • Registered as a pharmacist in the state of Vermont.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use PI tools for different projects/workshops.
  • Detailed oriented, yet also understands bigger picture.
  • Able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with personal computers and all Microsoft Office products.

Annual Salary Range = $131,000 - $210,000
