Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager is tasked with the comprehensive oversight and administration of all facility utility systems, infrastructure, and non-medical equipment maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily execution and management of the Utility Systems Management Plan, Fire Safety Management Plan, and the computerized maintenance management system, ensuring adherence to relevant safety and care standards.

This role includes the administration of the computerized maintenance management system to guarantee timely responses to requests and completion of corrective actions.

Ensures compliance with all preventative maintenance protocols and develops maintenance programs for new equipment based on manufacturer recommendations or an Alternative Equipment Maintenance (AEM) program.

Budget Management:
Participates in both operational and capital budgeting processes, managing assigned budgets effectively. Collaborates with organizational leaders to support daily operations, projects, and events.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a master-level license or certification in a building trade, OR
- Associate degree in engineering, applied science, facilities management, or a related field.

Minimum Work Experience:
- 5 years of relevant engineering experience (facility management, operations and maintenance, clinical engineering, safety and security, planning, design, and construction, or environmental management), with preference for experience in a healthcare environment.
- 5 years of management or supervisory experience.

Licenses/Certifications:
- Certification in Healthcare Facilities Management (CHFM) is preferred.
- Master-level licensure or certification in a building trade is desirable.
- Valid driver's license.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of hospital equipment and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; construction, installation, operation, and repair.

- Proficient understanding of maintenance and repair management systems and building operation design standards.

- Solid project management skills are essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with computer applications related to work order systems, control systems, and scheduling software.

- Strong interpersonal skills and effective human resource management abilities.

- Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining customer focus and effective communication amidst frequent interruptions.


Salary Range:
$73,500 - $117,500
