Position Overview

The Pharmacy Operations Manager will serve as a specialist in pharmacy practices and medication management systems.

This position encompasses advanced duties in the domains of pharmacy management, regulatory compliance, oversight of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, as well as training and education concerning all facets of pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise pharmacy personnel, programs, services, and operational activities.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to staff, students, interns, and residents involved in inpatient pharmacy care.
  • Ensure efficient operation of pharmacy purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and overall supply chain systems.
QualificationsMinimum Education

Graduation from an accredited pharmacy school with a PharmD degree.

Minimum Work Experience

At least 3 years of management or leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.

Experience in project management and substantial clinical exposure is also required.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Must be a registered pharmacist in the state of Vermont.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing performance improvement tools for various projects.
  • Detail-oriented with an understanding of the broader organizational context.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $131,000 - $210,000.
