Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team at CAIRE Inc. in Ball Ground, GA. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic procurement activities for our medical device instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Develop in-depth knowledge of markets and suppliers, identifying market leaders, understanding value chains, supply, and demand drivers, monitoring supply trends and shifts in technology to identify areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Represent Procurement in cross-functional meetings and projects as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, facilitating cross-functional strategic sourcing and supplier selection.
  • Contract Negotiation: Engage in contract negotiations, supply agreement development, contract execution, and management.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Practice supplier relationship management principles for key suppliers, conducting internal and supplier-facing business reviews to monitor suppliers' spend and performance to drive improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
  • Category Development: Devise long-term development strategies for product categories and develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
  • Vendor Management: Foster trusting relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
  • Inventory Management: Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets demands.
  • Product Positioning: Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
  • Pricing and Promotions: Liaise with Marketing team to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.
  • Category Expansion: Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
  • Forecasting: Develop forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
  • Budget Development: Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for each category.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred or technical industry equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years' relevant experience in procurement function.
  • Location: On-site at Ball Ground, GA location.
