We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team at TowneBank. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating and processing mortgage loans, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a strong network of referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and process mortgage loans, including interviewing applicants, gathering documentation, and reviewing regulatory disclosures.
- Maintain a strong network of referral sources, including real estate agents and other industry professionals.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating with customers regarding the status of their loans and relaying information to all interested parties.
- Manage a pipeline of loans to ensure accuracy and timeliness of loan processing.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, including changes to government regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in sales meetings and office functions, preparing mortgage minutes and providing training to real estate agents.
- Represent the bank in community outreach functions, enhancing our image and developing new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Valid NMLS license.
- Minimum 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional, and VHDA loans.
- Proven sales record based on closed loan production.
- Currently possess sources of referral business for purchase transactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA, PHFA, and underwriting guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Working knowledge of Encompass software.
