Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the processes involved in acquiring, monitoring, and facilitating the delivery of goods and services, including raw materials, equipment, tools, and supplies essential for operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and monitors the delivery of materials in alignment with aircraft modification timelines and maintenance needs.
  • Engages with suppliers to gather information regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Drafts purchase orders and requests for proposals.
  • Conducts basic negotiations and oversees agreements with vendors within designated authority.
  • Assesses market prices to estimate values accurately.
  • Evaluates price proposals, financial documents, and other relevant data to establish fair pricing.
  • Maintains comprehensive procurement records, including purchases, costs, delivery schedules, product quality, and inventory levels.
  • Contributes to the achievement of departmental performance metrics.
  • Oversees and updates digital records related to purchases, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventory.
  • Addresses issues related to defective or unsatisfactory goods or services with quality control, users, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Resolves disputes and complaints arising during contract execution.
  • Authorizes invoices for payment within established authority limits.
  • Facilitates prompt delivery of goods to end-users.
  • Maintains consistent attendance, punctuality, and commitment to full work shifts.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

A Bachelor's degree coupled with two years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in the aerospace sector and familiarity with aircraft interior projects is preferred.

Compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations requires that employees qualify as a US Person, defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident not employed by a foreign entity, or a political asylee.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and material specifications.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes for raw materials and components related to VIP aircraft interiors.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a growing team.
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in presenting information and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and follow a variety of instructions in different formats.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and lift items as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when required.

The expected salary range for this position is between $67,000 and $93,357. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other permissible factors.
