This role is based at our corporate headquarters. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.
Compensation: Salary range $52,000 - $78,000 based on experience, plus bonus potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Procurement Oversight: Generate purchase orders, analyze procurement data, maintain supplier performance metrics, and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment. Handle various purchasing and supply chain tasks as required.
- Supplier Management: Maintain records to facilitate supplier assessments and qualifications. Assist colleagues in issuing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure compliance with procurement processes, including timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Returns Management: Oversee product returns for purchase orders within an acceptable timeframe. Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and finance teams as necessary.
- Negotiation and Analysis: Evaluate quotes, determine optimal order quantities, assess lead times for timely delivery, and negotiate favorable pricing across the supply chain.
- Market Responsiveness: Promote the significance of rapid market response while ensuring supplier reliability and urgency when required.
- Collaborative Efforts: Partner with the sales team to guarantee accurate design, development, and procurement standards are upheld when sourcing new products.
- Three-Way Match: Conduct three-way matches with purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in order details such as cost, due date, quantity, and product specifications. Secure correct documentation from suppliers and promptly resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Cost Efficiency: Set cost-saving objectives and monitor progress to achieve continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports from our ERP system to maintain accurate inventory levels, current costs, and supplier performance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancements within the supply chain by upholding high standards for supplier performance and actively engaging in divisional objectives. Communicate effectively with the team and suppliers to exceed customer expectations.
- Solid understanding of procurement, supply chain, and purchasing principles within a distribution context.
- Experience with inventory management, purchase price variances, minimum order quantities, key performance indicators, supplier development, shipping methods, return merchandise authorizations, forecasting, and demand planning.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
