Overview
The primary duty of the Customer Service Specialist is to provide an exceptional shopping experience by fostering creativity among our clientele and ensuring that they feel welcomed and valued. All Specialists contribute to sales through extensive product knowledge, innovative displays, and precise transaction handling.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
Welcomes every customer and utilizes the F.A.S.T. service model to address their needs. Engages in meaningful conversations to understand customer projects and guides them to the appropriate products. Provides assistance at the cutting counter, cash register, and throughout the sales floor.
Transaction Processing
Handles customer transactions efficiently and courteously at the cutting counter and cash register. Responsible for lifting and organizing merchandise, unloading freight, and ensuring that products are stocked accurately according to company standards. Maintains cleanliness and organization on the sales floor.
Sales Enhancement
Encourages customers to participate in store events and classes. Actively promotes sales through product knowledge and builds strong relationships with customers to enhance brand loyalty. Works diligently to minimize inventory loss by adhering to company policies.
Team Collaboration
Supports fellow team members to ensure that store goals are met. Collaborates with management and peers on various projects in a positive and professional manner. Aids in training new team members on essential tasks such as register operation and customer service.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience: No prior experience necessary; however, 1-3 years in a customer-focused environment is preferred.
Availability: Part-time roles require flexible scheduling to meet store needs, with an average of less than 28 hours per week.
Skills and Competencies
Ability to work collaboratively with customers and team members.
Ability to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Effective communication skills in group settings.
Capability to adapt to varied schedules based on business requirements.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store. Ability to lift items up to 49 pounds individually and participate in group lifts up to 97 pounds.
