As a pivotal member of our Supply Chain team, the Manager of Natural Gas plays a vital role in overseeing the procurement and management of natural gas resources essential for our manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Natural Gas Procurement:

Negotiate both short-term and long-term contracts for natural gas supply in alignment with production forecasts while adhering to company policies.

Manage the acquisition of natural gas, including physical supplies and financial instruments such as swaps and options. Supervise the nomination process and execute transactions to maintain pipeline balance.

Secure transportation and storage capacity as required, obtaining necessary agreements from pipelines or secondary market shippers.

Continuously assess costs, consumption, and tariffs to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of natural gas.

Develop strategic plans for future sourcing and transportation agreements for review.


Contract Management:

Review and negotiate CF's natural gas master agreements, ensuring compliance and appropriateness.

Oversee the approval and payment of natural gas and transportation invoices, addressing any disputes that arise.


Market Analysis & Reporting:

Keep the management team informed about current and anticipated developments in the energy market.

Provide updates on market prices, supply and demand dynamics, and other relevant gas market trends to various departments.

Assist in preparing presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management, as well as support financial reporting reconciliation related to natural gas derivatives.


Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of five years of operational or commercial experience in the energy sector is essential. Experience in natural gas scheduling is advantageous.

Familiarity with Energy Risk Management software is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and planning skills, along with proficiency in spreadsheet analysis, are required.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for managing relationships with internal and external clients.

Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment is critical, along with a willingness to travel as needed.

Knowledge or interest in the agricultural or clean energy sectors is considered a plus.
