Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Technician II to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the fiscal responsibility and accountability of college funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial guidance and support services to ensure compliance with all required rules and regulations.
  • Maintain petty cash accounts, process local funds requests, and checks.
  • Review and process budget check Chrome River submittals and travel reimbursement vouchers.
  • Prepare routine financial reports and statements, and analyze transactions for conformity with procedures, policies, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work in numerical data and make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma and basic accounting courses, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
