Job Overview

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Administrator. Our Human Resources team is composed of dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering outstanding service to meet the HR needs of the Medical Group. This position requires on-site presence in our primary HR office, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This role serves as the initial point of contact within the HR department, offering high-level administrative and operational assistance.

Salary Range: Minimum $49,025 - Midpoint $61,276*

*Compensation is based on total relevant experience.

*Salary is calculated based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) or 40 hours per week. For part-time roles, compensation will be adjusted accordingly.

Position Summary

This role provides a range of specialized professional, operational, and administrative support to the Human Resources Department at UNM Medical Group and other relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities include interpreting and consulting on HR policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. The role also involves reviewing documentation to ensure data accuracy and quality.

Essential Qualifications for a Human Resources Administrator:

A high school diploma or GED accompanied by four years of directly related experience. A completed degree from an accredited institution that exceeds the minimum educational requirement may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis. Verification of education and credentials will be required upon selection.

Key Responsibilities of a Human Resources Administrator:

  1. Investigates and analyzes various HR-related issues and contributes to problem-solving efforts.
  2. Develops and revises operational policies, guidelines, procedures, documentation, and memos.
  3. Conducts or participates in specialized presentations and training sessions covering operational and technical HR information.
  4. Welcomes all visitors to the office suite and the HR department, addressing inquiries related to employment verification and general HR matters.
  5. Provides administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, processing invoices, maintaining tracking tools, scanning and saving documents, and ordering supplies.
  6. Leads recognition programs, including service awards and team events.
  7. Enters and reviews employee/applicant data in various HR databases, ensuring data integrity.
  8. Establishes and maintains personnel files.
  9. Implements HR standard operating procedures and evaluates them for continuous improvement.
  10. May lead or participate in various project initiatives that support the organization’s objectives.
  11. May create and present complex data analyses and reports, identifying errors and recommending process improvements.
  12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
