In the capacity of a Communication Systems Engineer (Senior Project Leader - Systems Engineering-Acquisition and Systems Engineering) within Aerospace's Defense Systems Group, you will be instrumental in advancing Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC) programs, including the Next Generation OPIR system and the US Nuclear Detonation Detection System. Your proficiency in ground network development will be vital for the success of these essential national security space endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver integration expertise for the Next Generation OPIR Program's ground system
  • Facilitate space-ground interface development and requirement validation
  • Oversee technical studies and evaluations for antenna performance
  • Engage in program status evaluations and risk assessments
  • Collaborate effectively with government and contractor partners

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • 12+ years of engineering experience, encompassing systems engineering and project management
  • Familiarity with space-ground communications systems
  • Active secret clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a STEM discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of ground system architectures and advanced communications technologies
  • Technical insight into the current threat landscape
  • Experience in a matrixed engineering environment
  • Customer-oriented approach and exceptional coordination skills
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Compensation:

Grade-based salary range: $123,000 - $225,400 annually
