In the capacity of a Communication Systems Engineer (Senior Project Leader - Systems Engineering-Acquisition and Systems Engineering) within Aerospace's Defense Systems Group, you will be instrumental in bolstering Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC) initiatives, including the Next Generation OPIR system and the US Nuclear Detonation Detection System. Your proficiency in ground network development will be vital for the triumph of these essential national security space endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver integration expertise for the ground system of the Next Generation OPIR Program
  • Facilitate the development of space-ground interface and verification of requirements
  • Lead technical evaluations and studies concerning antenna performance
  • Engage in program status and risk assessments
  • Collaborate effectively with government and contractor teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • Over 12 years of engineering experience, encompassing systems engineering and project management
  • Familiarity with space-ground communication systems
  • Possession of an active secret clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

  • Advanced degree in a STEM discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of ground system architectures and advanced communication technologies

Compensation:

Grade-based salary range: $123,000 - $225,400 annually
