$85,000 - $95,000 plus bonuses and benefits. (salaried, exempt)

Within the range, individual compensation is influenced by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

About This Position:

The Process/Quality Engineer at our Riverton, WY Ultrapure production facility plays a crucial role in a high-performing team, addressing the needs for specialty materials that support the rapidly expanding semiconductor manufacturing sector, which is expected to experience dynamic growth over the next decade.

This role emphasizes initiating and executing activities that drive measurable continuous improvement in Environmental, Health & Safety, product quality, process stability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years' experience in maintaining a quality system and knowledge of statistical process control tools.
- Proven experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and associated processes.
- Familiarity with formal investigation root cause methodologies such as 5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone, etc.
- Hands-on experience with statistical software tools such as Minitab.
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with database management systems is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with other PC applications such as Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage a quality system and conduct quality audit processes.
- Skills in process/documentation analysis and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Experience in technical writing for procedures, work instructions, guides, and manuals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain positive cross-functional department relationships.
- Project management capabilities.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate diplomatically and solve problems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks; experience in project management.
- Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use financial system programs, various email, internet, databases, and other programs used by the Company.
Medical Requirements:

Chemtrade is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the public. All employees are required to complete and pass their annually held medical assessments, including but not limited to the Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and the ability to wear a respirator as a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply statistical problem-solving techniques such as Pareto analysis, data trending, Design of Experiments (DOE), Gage R&R, etc., to address and resolve plant process and customer-related quality issues.

Lead and/or participate in root cause analysis for plant quality, safety, and production issues using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, or other Six Sigma methods.

Manage plant and customer data requests by generating, monitoring, and trending process and customer shipment data continuously using statistical tools and models.

Lead and/or participate in Lean Six Sigma initiatives such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Roadmap Planning, 5S, Visual Management, SMED, and the creation of standard work.

Facilitate and assist with customer, RC 14001, and ISO audits; assist with the resolution of customer complaints as necessary.
Support other Chemtrade locations in implementing quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage customer complaints by developing corrective and/or preventive actions and ensuring the implemented actions are complete and effective; create, maintain, and drive CAPA and NCRs to completion.

Develop and initiate reporting systems to gather data on plant/lab operations.
Prepare and submit monthly and/or weekly plant performance reports to management and customers as required.
Implement continuous improvement activities/tools such as process maps, control plans, etc., to enhance the plant quality system.
Perform other continuous improvement duties assigned by management that fall within the expected scope of this position.
